Regeneration start up funds for Redruth - money still available!

Redruth Vision & Strategy Regeneration Group still has money available in its start up funds to help community groups with the very first stages of their projects. The Regeneration Group would like to encourage local groups to apply for up to £300 each to start up small scale community led projects and to help towards development of larger scale projects.

Mike Horrocks, Community Regeneration Officer for Redruth, indicated that a range of things that could be funded. "The funds are really there to help remove some of the simple financial barriers that prevent projects from developing, such as the cost of getting plans, drawings and designs produced, the cost of a planning fee or research into a project idea."

Anyone interested in applying for this grant can contact Mike Horrocks, Community Regeneration Team on 01209 614061 or Redruth Town Clerk on 01209 213008.

This funding has been received from Redruth Town Council, Kerrier District Council and Cornwall County Council to help kick start community led regeneration projects in Redruth with the help of the Objective One funded Tin Country Partnership Community Regeneration Team.
